Steve Barendregt - Rising Above
Steve Barendregt faced unfortunate life challenges from an early age, yet a remarkably positive mindset allowed him to overcome the odds and ultimately forgive, gathering significant wisdom and allies along the way. We are thrilled to hear fascinating anecdotes that span such an interesting life, from using humour and cleverness to cope through a deprived and abusive childhood to becoming the caring community leader and entrepreneur he is today. Steve credits an unwavering belief in himself for fuelling a “success instinct” that motivated him even through the most difficult times, along with lessons about strategic planning, win-win thinking, and the importance of vulnerability and kindness.
